ORRYELLE DEFENESTRATE-BASCULE is a ChaOrder Artist-Magickian and Baphometic avatar somewhat obsessed with physical manifestation.
Somehow landing in the backwaters of Perth, Western Australia in a conservative family, s/he has progressively expanded back to that continent's east coast, then the rest of the World and other planes of existence entirely. Semi-regular visits to Europe and the UK in recent years have been to expand magickal circles of co-operation, perform music and ritual theatre and exhibit artwork; while travels to India and South America have enriched other spiritual and tantric practices.
Orryelle's
Metamorphic Ritual Theatre Company presents public rituals aiming to transform rather than merely entertain the audiences.
Other ongoing outlets for expression and initiation are the ever-expanding digital archives and galleries of The Mutation Parlour; and the underlying/overflying HermAphroditic ChAOrder of the Silver Dusk, a global multicultural and multisubcultural blend of tradition and innovation,
with an emphasis on ART (in all its diverse forms) as the prime menstruum of Magick.
While Orryelle does enjoy shamanic and astral journeys via various trance techniques s/he is not content to just travel to other dimensions, rather enjoying bringing back aspects of them to the physical plane.
A prolific visual and sonic artist, Orryelle finds dance, theatre, drawing, painting, sculpture, photography, animation, tattooing, tantra, tarot, verse, video, violin and voice effective ways of earthing magickal currents.
He co-developed with other ChaOrder in-it-I-ates The Choronzon Machine, a Ritual Opera and musickal-mechanical-magickal device for generating analogue fractals, is a co-ordinator of
iNSPiRALink. Multimedia Press, editor of this IMPress's SilKMilK MagiZain, and creator of The BOOK of KAOS Tarot Deck.
September this year will see the launch of his new Graphic Grimmoire 'Conjunctio' from
Fulgur Limited .
I have wanted to collaborate with Foolish People since I first saw them perform in London in 2006. There are so few people in the world doing this kind of work/play of blurring the boundaries (which have been imposed progressively throughout the history of theatre and are now being broken down again) between theatre and ritual magic.
I love the multi-arts multi-performer aspect of this meta-event and am glad I can at least participate in some way translocally even though probably unable to be there in person this time...'
